The version I have seen (UK dvd) was subtitled, not dubbed. I much prefer subtitles anyway - you lose far less when you can hear the original voices, even if you can't understand them!

i just saw this movie,
and think in this case this movie would of been funnier being dubbed.

I agree with lizmcsweeney. Whether you understand or not, you only get half or less of the movie's original feeling if you watch in dubbed voices. My friend's friend had been doing the internship at one of the Anime distribution companies in NYC and they sometimes let the interns do the voice for the Anime! Unless it is a major distribution, they never hire quality voice actors/actresses.

i think the dubbing of this movie is quite good . the voice of Sang-Hwan sounds funny and the movie was altogether very good. :-)just saw it on ZEE STUDIOS.

Usually there are subtitles...

Dubbed movies are crap... no, I mean the dubbing is always crap. Watch the orginals and read the subtitles. It's not that hard and it's worth it.

But it's alway's better to listen in a language u understand .. the Zee Studios Dubbed version is really good :)

reply

Well, it comes down to personal choice.
I don't like to watch a dubbed movie if it's live action. If it's animated I think I can forgive the dubbing, yet if given a choice, I’ll probably stick to the subtitles.

I never saw this particular movie dubbed, but the original Korean is so full of humour (specifically the main character's speech and the tough attitude of the girl) that I just can't see how the dubbed version could be as good.
To me, it just wouldn't translate as well.

But hey, people who dub voices still need a job and if some viewers like it, why not?

Sure .. well the movie is too funny the point u mentioned + the funny lines .. Nice romantic funny comedy

Dubbed in English?

Yack!

A movie or an anime should always remain true, with the original voices.

I Presume you're over 7 ou 8 years old, and that you can read english...

So if you can read in English, why won't you be able to understand the movie?

Too lazy to read? Too dumb?

I know a lot people who have problems reading subtitles and follwing the action at the same time. I never had that problem and I'm glad, because I love watching films/animes in their original language. But for those people its simply impossible. Either they read the subtitles and miss the acion, or they watch the action and miss the context of the scene. Its perfectly understandable for me why they prefer dubbed versions.
