I'm pretty sure "puta" means whore. I mean, the English title of the film is "Whore." But in Spanish, "yo" means "I." So I'm confused.
shareOK, Im Spanish, so trust me on this. "Yo" means "I" or "Me", a "Puta" is a woman who makes a living by having sex with people, a "Whore/prostitute". As somebody said before, the meaning would be the same as "I, robot".
In a way, using the "Yo, puta" makes it sound pretty philosophycal, like if it was the title of somebody´s memoirs. Normally, in 99.9999% of the cases, you would refer to yourself as "Soy puta" or "Yo soy puta" ("I´m a whore/prostitute"). It makes sense after you see the style of the movie or read the book it´s based on.
