Joey's Father

Did anybody else notice that when Joey was telling the story to Oleg about his "friend" who beat his father up with a bat because he was an abusive alcoholic?

It wasn't Joey's friend who did that; it was Joey. He even goes so far as to say his "friend's" father couldn't hold a fork straight, which Joey's father showcased exactly that at the start of the movie.

A little snippet that nobody else I was watching with seemed to notice.
