Jack Parlabane? David Tennant, of course!

The only reason I bought this book is because David Tennant performed it on CD. I'm so glad I did, though, because I subsequently fell in love with Christopher Brookmyre's writing. The audio version was abridged (God I hate that) so after listening to it had to borrow a hard copy from the library and read the bits that were taken out. Yeah, that's me in a nutshell.

At any rate, after listening to the loverly Mr. Tennant perform this (and you can't really call it just reading, the way he does it. He's amazing.), I can't see anyone else in the role of Jack Parlabane. Yeah, he's too tall. And he's not blonde. I can get past those things because he would be so right in every other way. And since, per everyone's comments, the TV version was rubbish, there's still a chance it could be made as a movie with David in the part. He has to fit it in around playing the Doctor, though, because he just can't leave that part. No one else could fill his trainers.
