I know that I have seen this in another movie:

The part about a father trying to get his young son to hunt, when the son is clearly too young/sensitive for the experience.

Anyone have any idea which other movie has this element?

I am sure there are several films with this element, but the strongest scene I remember is from the movies Panic (2000).
