PYUN'S PART IN MAX HAVOC'S HAVOC

I worked with Albert Pyun on his last shoot (H.P. Lovecraft's, Cool Air) and I know for a FACT that Pyun did not get paid either for directing Max Havoc. He put up his own money to help pay the editor and the composer. He totally believed in this project and was committed to doing right by Guam.
The saddest thing is that Pyun left the film prior to completing the cut because of the financial irregularities and his refusal to participate. Pyun did provide the Outrigger Resort with a promised promo... on his own. He also completed the cut on two Carmen Electra PSA's.
I haven't seen Max Havoc so I can't say if it's good or bad, but I know that Pyun gave his ALL to it and not only did he NOT get paid, he lost close to $20,000 of his own money.

BTW. The Cool Air crew saw the final cut of the film Pyun did prior to Cool Air, called Infection. We all thought it will be one of his best films. I heard it was supposed to come out in Sept. I dont' know when Cool Air will be released and have not yet seen it.

Forget what anyone else says about that man, Pyun ALWAYS gives it his all. There are much worse directors out there, and I just don't know why some people just seem to like picking on him.

Seriously, after hearing about HALF of the things this man has gone through to complete a movie, I don' think anyone has the right to think they can do any better.

BTW, watch Sword & the Sorcerer. That is the current reining champion for absolute best Pyun film.

Okay, so Pyun didn't steal money, he had it thrown at him at him and for once he didn't have to claw his way to finacial probability. Why is everyone getting down so hard on him because of others lack of control or prefessional sensibility?

Everyone on these forums seems determined to make it look like Pyun commited a crime.

I mean, geez, all he did was his job.
