Reminds me of "World According to Garp"

Based on a big novel (at the time - early 80s - big cast and yawn) - random weird *beep* occurs to an otherwise normal family.

Curious this stuff gets remade - pushing the "limits" makes them all instantly quaint - for that time.

House: I have been on a date before.
Wilson: Not since disco died.
