Kim Basinger to star.

Sounds like Kim Basinger is coming aboard Mark Rydell's saga of corruption and gambling addiction surrounding a college basketball competition, "Jump Shot." We get word they've been casting about for a juvenile actress to play Kim's daughter in the drama slated to begin shooting mid-January. Rydell, whose directing credits include such gems as "On Golden Pond," hasn't directed a feature since the 1994 Richard Gere-Sharon Stone thriller "Intersection."
