Very good movie - Even Money (2008) Discussion

I agree. It was a very good movie. The movie "Crash" has started a new trend. 3 or 4 different stories in one movie that somehow all tie togeather. Forest Whitiker and Kim Basinger are especially good in this. My rule of thumb for judging a good movie is if I care what happens to the people in it. I was rooting for these people. And it always helps to have a lil eye candy too. Kim Basinger is a "mature" woman now, but she is still easy on the eyes. I enjoyed this movie a LOT!

I agree, when a movie touches me and I feel for the characters, it is a good movie, and I know this is realistic, that people like this really do exist.

i agree. who are these people who thought this was a good movie... a "very good" movie even. that scares me. It makes me question every movie rating I've ever seen on IMDB, and I love IMDB. IMDB usually gives me very useful and interesting data...
a "very good movie".... I am distressed.

Don't be too distressed. I didn't like it either, and apparently most people didn't---it did get a pretty low IMDb rating--5.8

you posted this in 2008
we are now 6 years further. may i ask you in all this time, did you never experienced an imdb rating was way lower or higher to the personal sentiment you had towards the movie? i can imagine you dont. its called personal taste. if a 1000 people love something it doesnt mean you are going to love it, why? because you are not them, it works in the other way as well.

my expectation where low for this movie because of the ratings and i found myself surprisingly liking this.
i guess the depressive tone of the movie is what many people dont like.no shining hero that kill the bad guy and saves the day, no grip reality of people making poor choices *beep* up and have bad consequences like in real life.
some people dont have a message to this, others like myself love it.

try to live with it people have different tastes
