***Complete Spoilage Here****

Don't waste your time, here's the high points:

Movie opens with death of woman who could be Heroine's Double, shortly after Heroine's father has disappeared. Police contact Heroine to determine if Heroine perchance knows dead double. Heroine doesn't.

This of course re-opens the disappearance and presumed death of Heroine's dad, who was famous in vitro fertilization / implantation Doctor.

Additional plot point is that Heroine has crazy stalker.

Heroine finds out her dad has lived a double life and had girlfriend and daughter living in AZ. It's this daughter, Annie, that is killed at the beginning of the movie. And that solves THAT mystery.

The only other mystery is one that most viewers have probably figured out 15 minutes into the story - it's, of course, Dad's BFF, Phillip, who's stealing donor embryos for the moolah.

Of course, by happy cowinkeedink, stalker shows up to kill Phillip, who's ready to kill Heroine.

By further happy co-wink-ee-dink, boyfriend and cops show up to save Heroine from Stalker.

THE END OF HORRIBLE MOVIE.

I saw this movie and then read the book. Loved both. End of story.

Hahaha. Great post Elizabeth. Some people are too critical. I just finished the book and loved it. I saw the movie years ago but plan to find it and watch it again.

This is my signature and I'm sticking to it. lol

Seven, you're too critical. Mary Higgins Clark is an excellent author and this is one of her best books. The movie followed the book very well. If you figured out everything then you must have a very good IQ, and good for you. But im sure others enjoyed it. I know I saw the movie before and had loved it, but I want to see it again now that I've just finished reading the book. The book was excellent by the way and because I couldn't remember everything from the movie, a lot of things came as a surprise.

i thought it was a good movie - for a lifetime movie anyway. allison eastwood is so pretty, her acting is ok -- but i adore her father clint, who i met yrs ago when he was down here in new orleans filiming "tightrope"; i was 18 yrs old(just graduated from high-school) and he was in the french quarter, and a family friend who was a cop was doing detail work by guarding clint while he walked down bourbon street - so i was able to meet him, we talked for about 15 minutes- told him that he is me and my dad's fave actor (which he is btw) -he gave me a kiss on the cheek and an autograph.. i sure as hell will never forget him - he was so good looking (i love men w/those rugged looks) and down to earth as well. allison was in the movie as well, but much too young to walk down bourbon street - esp at night time.. anyway i had to throw this out there bc i would love to meet him again.. i've met several stars here in new orleans but clint eastwood is my fave so far.. and i met kevin costner (damn that man is hot)!! but clint IS the man :)
