Story

I just Got Hitman Contracts and have never played the others and something kinda confused me. 47 went through the asylum and killed a bunch of people just like him. He also shot a guy who called him his son. So was 47 experimented on along with a bunch of others?

**Spoilers for the first game**

In the end of Hitman: Codename 47, 47 goes to an asylum, hwere he kills his "father", the guy who created him, because 47 is a clone. The asylum level in Contracts is just to show you how 47 got out.

reply

And the people who you hit in Hitman: Contracts, were the men from whom his "father" mixed DNA, and #47 was cloned

"BWAHAHAHA" - Even Jesus is laughing!

"I've got it! 47 went to the aysylum, killed the clones, his father, and escaped. But on the way out, he was shot and drove all the way back to that french hotel with a bullet in him. There, he passes out and in a dream, remembered past hits. That dude came in and healed him. He then woke up, had a standoff, killed a lot of people, and escaped. Just a guess...

Why is it that we park on driveways and drive on parkways? =/"

You've got most of it right. But he didn't get shot during the escape. All This game took place in the past. Hitman 2 is the sequel. He gets shot in the stomach in next game Bloodmoney as a flash back mission. And then continues the story after Hitman two.

The entire game took place in previous years, from the end of Codename 47 to Silent Assassin, with the final mission (Hunter and the Hunted) taking place in the now (or then, as the "now" was 2004). Agent 47 was wounded during the mission (presumably by the Inspector) and fled to his hotel room, the rest is pretty much history and you now have a neat game that leads into Blood Money.

On a side note, I really dug how they made the missions flow rather flawlessly from memory to memory. The first time I played, I got a serious case of vertigo from the opening cutscene to Asylum Aftermath.

"Oh yes, we all float - and when you're down here with us, you'll float too!"

Actually, it explains why he is bleeding in blood money. When 47 stumbles into his apartment, wounded, he is in Paris and at the end of the 'Curtains Down' level in Blood Money it shows a guy watching 47 and then loading his gun. I'm not really sure who the gunman is, though.

small level spoiler,
look, is anyone at all scared by the psychiatric hospital? i was disturbed by it, is romania that bad? i mean seri! i felt soo bad bout it, so was anyone frightened by it?

reply

I'm a romanian and I didn't felt bad about the asylium. It's just a place where sick people stay... And to answer your question, yes, romania is a pretty bad place, poor families, and sick children, but I seriously doubt that's what you meant... Compared to other countries, I can say it's pretty peacefull, if you cast aside the rapers and the thieves that suck honorable people's life... :))
PS: Don't worry, we're going to survive (at least I hope to)

After Curtains Down, he gets shot by a policeman, he kills that policeman and as a result the police are called. Inpector Founier is a member of the "Franchise" and is the only one in Paris that knows who he is, except for that one cop guy that got killed.

IM not taking the piss, but woundnt it have been easier if they had just made the games in chronoligical order. Please dont shout at me i love the hitman games and the way they were produced its just it gets a little confusing.

This is how i think it happened
47 kills his father and escapes the asyllum.(codname 47)
he does a mission in paris where he gets shot by the inspector(blood money)
the aftermath of the gunshot is him recalling stories(contracts)

god im gonna get some nerds attacking me now. Mercy! lol

Here are the events of the Hitman series (WARNING: SPOILERS):

In chronological order:

-47 escapes the Asylum

-He works for the agency for an unknown length of time

-Dr. Ort Meyer hires 47 to kill his other "fathers" (Lee Hong, Pablo Ochoa (only in Codname 47), Franz Fuchs, and "Boris").

-47 Kills Ort Meyer and the 48s in the Asylum (Codename 47), then escapes (Contracts).

-47 leaves the Agency and finds religion. He lives with father Vitorrio at Gontranno Sanctuary until the Mafia (ordered by Sergei Zoveratko) kidnaps him.

-47 performs several missions for the Agency while they look for father Vitorrio. Eventually, it is revealed that Sergei, their client, is behind the kidnapping, and 47 kills him at Gontronno.

-47 performs the hits in "Blood Money." Between "Curtains Down" and "Flatline," the events of Hitman: Contracts takes place (the cutscenes, not the levels).

-After killing everyone at his funeral (except for Diana, who mysteriously disappears), 47 just vanishes. In the final cutscene of "Blood Money," Diana, who is speaking on the phone to someone she refers to as "your majesty," denies any knowledge of 47s whereabouts (whether or not this is true is up for debate). 47 is then seen talking to a Chinese man in a shop about seeing "what you have... in the back."
