Did anyone hear the real recording of Anneliese Michel's exorcism?

Possessed or not, that is SCARY.

reply

Yes. I don't know if I believe in demonic possession or not but she most certainly had some serious problems.

reply

Where do you hear this?

"Klaatu barada nikto"

reply

They are on you tube.

everybody here, comes from somewhere

reply

reply

It is pretty frightening to hear.

The brain is indeed an amazing piece of natural work. I'm an atheist, But I had to say this but I think 'possessions' are real. Though not in the way more devout people believe it to be. The best way I can explain it is along the terms of a computer. The mind is capable of the most sophisticated simulation software, It can make things real to us that would be impossible in the natural world. So someone who is 'possessed' really is possessed, By a creation of their own mind. I noticed the pattern, Those possessed by christian demons are themselves christian. Those possessed by desert 'Jins' are themselves, Muslim, and so on. It influences the personality that takes over. And perhaps this is why a Priest or an Imam respectively may be the only way to help. And why this case is so convincing.

reply

Only problem...you don't have any evidence to support your theory. Another atheist cop-out.

reply

Yeah, indeed lol. Actually, both sides can't prove anything.

reply

Actually people of faith can prove that people do have souls. That's why it's called EVP evidence. Paranormal investigators pick up EVP's on a daily basis. And at the heart of the atheist argument is the belief that people don't have souls. Don't bet yours that we don't.

reply

That's not an evidence for anything. It's just something you can't explain. There's a difference.

reply

Thats a huge pile of lies. Souls? since when theres a proof of the existance of souls? Paranormal Investigators are your source of information? well my friend...i have bad news for you...And btw...Schizofrenia and other serious mental illnesses are proven, studied and sometimes even cured by science. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

reply

Schizophrenia isn't a "proven" syndrome at all...look into Kraeplin and Bleuler , the doctors who are generally credited with "discovering " the illness.

reply

That's really stupid.

reply

And you have evidence?

Applied Science? All science is applied. Eventually.

I agree with you somewhat, though I'm not an atheist, I very much believe in God. I'm not a christian either, I believe that god is god no matter in which religion you are, it is the same being, only with different names.

I agree with you, because I have seen in India people possessed by demons described in Vedas (Indian holy scriptures).

i do however believe that there is a real possession of some un-natural kind which affects the brain, and then the brain tries to "explain" what happens by the things which he knows from before.
I also believe that demons/angels/gods in every religion are the same, only we've given them different name by the way they appeared to the poeple who have given them names.

So ... you believe that God contradicts Himself? Have you actually compared various religions' ideas of who God is, what He does, where He comes from, what He bases salvation on, etc.? Because they are in conflict with each other. And yet, you claim that all of these versions of God are correct ... in spite of the fact that they all contradict each other.

Yes, God is God. But understand this: He doesn't contradict Himself. He doesn't say, "Salvation is based on faith in Jesus Christ," one minute, only to turn around and say, "If you perform enough good works, you'll be granted entrance into Heaven," the next. He doesn't say, "Jesus Christ is my one and only Begotten Son," one minute, only to turn around and say, "I don't have a Son," or, "Jesus isn't my Son! I don't have children. Jesus is a wise man, or a prophet, or a great teacher, or a great healer. Nothing more."

Basically, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Not with God.

"Never mind walking a mile in my shoes. Try thinking a day in my head."

reply

I agree with you. The human mind is fascinating, the way I see it, "possessions" are no different than a multiple personality disorder. In both cases, the person is "taken over" by a new identity - and often with religious individuals, they replicate popular creatures in mythology. I've never seen a devout Catholic get possessed by a Muslim demon, the way it's so specific to their own faith intrigues me.

reply

Some descriptions in different cultures sook somehow similar, which makes me "believe" that they are the same phenomenon, just understood and explained in different ways with different names.

reply

Possesed people aren't just crazy or anything. If a 10 year old suddenly starts speaking in Hebrew, I would be more inclined to think that it is not his mind playing games on him! haha

I am terrified at the thought of possession even though I am not religious, but while her voice was creepy, I have a hard time buying it.

I heard them and saw the pictures of the real girl. I rarely ever get scared but the recording and pix scared me to my core. It sounded real. Like it was an animal, which ironically what is said about demons, they aren't human. Freaky stuff. I heard things after hearing that recording, and saw things, and had nightmares. I even felt a presence in my home, so I don't recommend it to anyone. Could be real and you could hear the priests in the background. Didn't sound fake. Freaky true story.

reply

yeah its *beep* creepy- wont listen to it again

reply

I wrote a research paper on Anneliese Michel's case. I remember sitting alone in the study room listening to the tapes with my laptop and headphone. It was terrifying.
