mixed reaction. part good, part bad

i agree with the other posters about the boring dragging plot, it was kinda flat through the whole thing

but i held out to the end, and the ending was better than the rest, mainly b/c of the payoff. the surprise, made it better in indsight. though i will never sit thru it again.

also, this movie had a tone or mood about it. i think madsen did some very low key acting, subtle. his melancholy, almost disinterested attitude, really came over for me. he SEEMED like a guy struggling with his inner conflict.

busey was kinda just there. flat. not a big part.

but the camera work was not as bad as some have said. i like the grainy blue filters used through much of the film. (if the plot wasnt so expository and talky!!) and the flashbacks were annoying too


one more thing. the davies guy was cool. and the whole idea of a secret identity, and decades-later-revenge for the colombian thing, was pretty cool. i kept thinking about the doc cocain cowboys. (if you havent seen CC you should check it out!)
