Its the terrible script writing

Just goes to show that good/decent actors with a lousy script still make for a terrible movie. And its not just the script. There's no character build up, you're just thrown into the story and will have to figure out for yourself who's who and what's what, which is fine by me, usually, but not when the characters are set up so bad that no matter how good your acting is, no one is gonna believe the part you're trying to portray.
And here's where the script offers no help at all. The part Corey Large plays is written so bad that errrm hmmm just let me give you an example. In an earlier scene it was made clear to Davies (Corey Large) that Kevin (Michael Madsen) used to be partners with Mark Spencer, but when looking at some pictures of Mark, Davies asks Kevin: "Are you sure thats him?" Like you're not going to recognize someone who you worked with for many years. And this amateur writing goes on and on. Now i dont know Corey Large as an actor at all, but even Jack Nicholson could not have made those lines believable. Well maybe he could have, in some disturbed sort of way, hahaha, but Corey sure couldn't.
And its not just Corey, all the actors suffer from the bad writing. The only one who made her role at least a little bit tangible was Shannyn, but maybe i'm biased, just the looks of her makes up for anything ;)
