The Christ Clone trilogy-for those disappointed by this show

I haven't seen this, but if this is just Hollywood, made up crap disguised as a Biblically based series, and those who wanted something intelligent, thought-provoking, interesting, and scripturally based, were disappointed by this, may I recommend The Christ Clone trilogy? It's a great series of books by James Beauseigneur based on the premise that the AntiChrist is cloned from cells on the Shroud of Turin. Just the idea introduced that John could still be alive (Methuselah lived 1000 years) to cover what Jesus predicted, that the Temple would be destroyed before everyone who heard him speak died, yet the Wailing Wall still stands, is such a cool idea, and the idea of the Rapture being a spiritual and not a physical one is also interesting and subtle.
The third book is the absolute best, if you can make it through all the new age nonsense introduced by the Antichrist and his prophet, the way no one catches on that it's the end times is made believable and very scary. I highly recommend it. The mark of the beast is also cleverly done.
Hollywood, don't bother to make it a movie or mini series, you don't understand and you'll screw it up.

I haven't seen this show, I'm looking for something thought provoking and this doesn't sound like it would be it, although I might get it for the secular entertainment value, as long as they don't overstep into outright blasphemy.
The Christ Clone books are great, they have many interesting ideas I've never heard put forth, and I've read a few books on eschatology, but they would frighten you so I don't recommend them to you. They have everything I was hoping this series would have, and more. I recommend them to most people. You might want to look into "The Beginner's Bible." My daughter loves hers.

I agree, the Christ Clone series is great.
I wouldn't mind a mini-series based on it, but they'd probably screw it up.

Yes, as far as mainstream Hollywood is concerned, the Bible is still written in Hebrew and Greek! They just don't understand it.
