Does anyone know if this has been screened in Russia yet and if it will be seen elsewhere?

There are several postings on Russian sites including DVD vendors that the serial will premier on TV Dec. 25. There are ten episodes. I am guessing they will show all ten between Dec. 25 and orthodox christmas (Jan. 7). My guess is that M&M will be released on DVD soon after the last episodes and it will be subtitled in many languages. While you are waiting, check out the serial Brigada (or Brigade).

Thank you very much. I live in America hopefully it will be available for sale In America shortly after its done showing on TV's in Russia.

There's an article in today's New York Times about it:

The article says it is to begin on Monday, which I take to mean it starts today (the article is dated both 12/18 and 12/19, so I think it was written yesterday, but published today). No word yet on US release.

i live in moscow and it is on rossia right now (started last monday, 4 days a week). no idea about the us release, but you are not missing much.

Here in Beijing the RossiaTV signal is poor(almost black & white), but I was lucky enough to see Margarita flying last night, which led me here :-)

Hi! It is shown on TV only, probably will not in theaters. Later in January the movie will be released on DVD. No info about international release yet. The official russian web site: www.masterimargarita.ru which is completely in russian. And meanwhile you can download the episodes on the net. ;-)
