On Sky One now...

This series is currently being shown on Sky One, but for some reason they're trying to pass it off as a new series!

The info button says its new and this article says its a brand new epic... although its over 5 years old and on DVD.

I missed the first 40minutes of the first episode so I came on IMDB to see if there was going to be a repeat. I was quite surprised to realise that this series is 5 years old. Also after all the bad comments on here I don't think I will bother following it up.. Shame!

How is it over 5 years old when it came out in 2005 and it's only 2008?

When Empire was made it clashed with the series Rome, which had a much higher budget. If Empire had been released on TV back then, Rome would most likely have overshadowed it, so the people behind Empire decided to wait a while before airing it.
