I didn't catch her name, and so when I tried to find her in the cast list, I couldn't figure out who she was. Anyone know the name of the actress who play's her? She looks SO familiar.....but I don't know where I've seen her before.

That immediately bothered me BUT, then I thought it was just pet names for one another (brother, sister - denoting affection towards one another) THEN, I heard other's refer to her as his sister and then I realized they just plain got htat wrong....

Atia was definitely his niece... not sister.

Hate to nitpick, but..
Gaius Julius Caesar's daughter, Julia...is who married Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, or more commonly, Pompey, before dying in Childbirth whilst Caesar was intrenched in the Gallic Wars. Caesar and Pompey were the "best friend(s) turned rival(s)" of which you speak.
He did have two sisters, Julia the elder and Julia the younger, but little is known about them.
