Maybe something lost in the translation

Just saw this on DVD ... it seemed interesting, I like the normal everyday feel, but
it did not make much sense to me. Lot's of blow jobs. Who was the guy who just
got out of the army and raped the girl? What was that all about? I just don't
get it. Can someone explain. And who was the guy's wife? Was this filmed all
out of order or something? Argh!
