Sisterhood Everlasting

Just wanted to hear some opinions of the latest sisterhood book! I read it and really couldnt put it down. Although I loved it, i really found it depressing...i was looking for a simple fun summer read and it was really serious. I really loved it though don't get me wronG! Any thoughts?

The tears i might have shed for your dark fate, grow cold and turn to tears of HATE!

I feel exactly the same way. I read it quickly and thought it was good, but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting!

It was weird for me.
I didn't even know the book existed until I saw it on the new fiction rack at Barnes and Noble.

I enjoyed it, but it just felt strange for me too. I read the first book in fourth grade and continued to read them throughout middle school. So they were these cute, heartwarming books about teenage girls that I read in middle school, and then suddenly 50 pages in, Tibby is dead. And it makes it even worse that for the majority of the book, we think it's suicide.

I also thought it was unrealistic that 10 years later, 3 out of the 4 girls were still romantically involved with people they'd started dated at age 15.

after we found out tibby was dead, a page didn't go by without tears for me. it was a little exhausting and i was afraid to put it down in fear that i wouldn't want to pick it up again because it was so blasted depressing.

I don't know anyone besides my parents who started dating at 15 and are still together. so that part does seem unrealistic. i feel like toooooo much time is wasted on the whole lena/kostos thing. Carmen never gets the guy...it's annoying and bee can act like a complete fool and her guy loves her no matter what. it was a little frustrating

It just goes to show you how Lena, Bridget and Tibby all feel about love. For Lena, Costas was the first guy to see beyond her appearance and she loved her whole entire life waiting to have her chance with him. Bridget's love for Eric was childish at first but when she matured a bit she made it a point to be his friend before anything. And Brian was pretty much always in love with Tibby and she knew he was the best guy for her because Bailey put him there. As for Carmen... I think her best relationship had to be with herself first. Maybe that guy on the train was supposed to be for her. Who knows.
