Reminded me of 'The Breed'

This movie reminded me of the "the breed" ..... Good Vampire cop teams up with mortal cop to try and stop.......

Looks that way to me too.

I've seen both. They are not the same at all. The common plot element is the virus that kills vampires. Breed vampires are oly known about by a select group of humans, as opposed to Perfect Creature vamps that are not only known but worshipped by all humanity. The virus in breed kills vamps, in PC it makes them go crazy. The love story in B does not hold a candle to the one in PC. B is about the coming out of vampires and the possibilty of a vampire/human war - PC is about 1 pyscho vamp trying to kill humanity while the rest fight to take him down and save humanity. Also, the human cop thing/vamp cop thing doesn't apply in PC - it is a good cop there, but she is not aware the vamp has anything to do with her; as oppposed to B where they are actually partners.

They point being that they are not the same at all. And to be honest, I much perfer PC to B - B is boring and awful. PC was actually way more orignal than B could ever hope to be.

Just my two cents

It's quite similar to The Breed (2001), both occur in an alternative world, the vamps are essentially good but one goes crazy etc. Don't normally like vamp movies as they are all basically the same. There are two exceptions, viz. The Breed (2001) and Perfect Creature (2006). It must be the steampunk look and feel that does it.
