Dougray Scott


was terrific in this film. I don't think I've ever seen him quite so compelling and powerful. Based upon his other work I would never imagine him in this role but he was excellent--just the proper amount of "dead" vs boiling fury.

I love steampunk so this film hit all the bells for me. I can't believe I've never seen it before. It was like Dark City smashed into The Breed. They were clearly teeing it up for a sequel. Too bad they never made it.

Sadly steampunk never does very well in film which should be its ideal medium. I think too many people "don't get it"
