Can't get it to work

I can't get the movies to work on my windows vista home premium laptop!

Everytime I put it in a message comes up saying:

An application has made an attempt to load C runtime library incorrectly.

It works on my pc which is xp, but im at university so all i have is a laptop.

Has anyone else had this problem or do you knw what i could do to fix it cos im not great with computers! Thanks :)
