Not a REAL SNUFF MOVIE

This idea of a movie is great and exciting. But its not the definition of even a fake snuff movie. I understand the point of this movie, but a snuff movie requires the person getting killed to agree to getting killed in the first place. They know, from their contract, that they will be killed. It sounds stupid that someone would acknowledge to get killed for a camera, but that is the reason that its so hard to find a snuff film to begin with.

For example, faces of death doesn't count as a snuff movie. It counts as a movie that shows a lot of people dying. That doesn't mean its a snuff film. I hate it when people get lazy about this definition. You can find lots of video online of people dying, but none that are getting paid to do it.

So this fake play on a snuff movie doesn't even adhere to that basic principle. That sucks.

A snuff movie certainly does not require the permission of the victim. Just because Johnny Depp's character does so in THE BRAVE, doesn't make it reality. In fact, there is no official agreed upon definition as to what a snuff film entails.

You're wrong on so many levels. Here are a few:

1) The idea that somebody would have a contract in which they agree to be killed is obviously ridiculous. Even if somebody was perverted enough to sign such a contract, it wouldn't be legally binding... for obvious reasons.

2) Faces of Death does not show lots of people dying. It shows a bunch of actors in laughably staged mock deaths (the bear attack is particularly hilarious). In case you have also seen the companion piece Faces of Death: Fact or Fiction? I should also point out that that is a joke documentary about the making of FoD. A fake documentary about the making of a fake documentary - get it?

3) There is no such thing as a real snuff movie!!!!! (by which I mean a commercially produced movie depicting an actual murder).

Just to helpp you out there, BG,

4) Why, as the the OP suggested, would someone agree to get PAID to get killed!?!? What are they going to do with money? "Hey did you heare about Bob?" "yeah, too bad he's dead, but I hear he can afford that trip to Jamaca he's been wanting now."

i thought a snuff film was a filmed death that was filmed for the sole purpose of selling that tape to people who wanted to watch someone die. like the real parts of faces of death wouldn't count as a snuff film because it wasn't death filmed for the sole reason of selling the tape, it was death that ended up on tape for another reason, but happened to be sold later. like bud dwyer is a death on tape, but it wasn't made for the sole purpose of profit.

Pathetic poster.

Nope, the whole contract thing is bollocks.... :) It's simply people being killed for real on camera. And obviously they exist, many serial killers have filmed their actions.....
