You would probably need to bring a rope with you in the movies,so you could hang yourself if it gets too bad.

Wolfman got nards - Monster Squad

Absolutely correct! It wasn't as bad as the Blair Witch Project though. (lol) I watched an advance screening on August 12 and the plot was sooo clinque and stereotypical. XP The only thing that kept me awake was the motorcycling racing. It looks fun. >shrugs< Save your money and don't bothering watching it.

reply

Yeah, it looks really really horrible.

My brother saw an advanced viewing of this film last night in Vancouver. He definitely didn't see anything special in it. He said good action shots, though. If you are into motocross, you might enjoy the jumps and stuff, but as for story---neh.

Actually i thought it was a really good movie, it gets people into supercross and shows you what its like. If you guys think it looks stupid then dont go see it no one said you have to.

reply

I just saw a TV ad for it, and wow! This movie looks so cliche and just all around boring. All I know from the ad is that they have one guy trying to be Vin Diesel and some boring stock TV shots.

I liked this movie. Of course, I am also a fan of the sport. I do agree that the racing clips could have been put together better. They mixed clips from actual races with actual riders with scenes that they obviously included the star riders. So it was hard to follow the races sometimes. Tyler Evans (the rider who was pissed off at K.C. most of the time) is an actual supercross racer. In fact, people who watch Supercross will recognize a lot of familiar faces and names (from R.C. down to Jaimie Little). I think fans of supercross will be happy that we even GOT a new supercross movie ("Winners Take All" from 1986, "Crossing the Line" (from like '89) and Disney's "Motocrossed" (2002?) are the only other 3 supercross/motocross-oriented movies that I am aware of.) I thought there were comical parts throughout the movie that kept it from being a sleeper. It dripped with eye-candy (both male and female) that is typical of younger-generation oriented movies these days (Like The Fast and the Furious. Not that I was complaining or anything!) I didnt like how they portrayed the "team strategy" as having a teammate who is supposed to block for the "lead" rider. I use the term "block" loosely as they showed it as taking anyone out who gets close to their "teammate". Anyone who watches the sport can tell that although there are "teams", each rider is pretty much out for themselves. I just hope the non-fans won't think that its some dirty sport where everyone tries to take out each other (even though that does seem to happen on a semi-regular basis anyway). Bottom line...if you're not a fan of the sport, then you'll probably be bored because its a LOT of riding/racing shots, there is a minimal amount of story & plot development, and it does fall into some cliches. Considering the movie was only 1 hour and 25 minutes long, I think it would have been FAR better if they would have given it an extra half an hour for character development (like in Crossing the Line where they dedicated a good 20 minutes of the rival racers physically beating the sh*t out of each other! Now thats entertainment!)

Just to clarify though...Supercross itself isnt really considered an "extreme" sport. Meaning, yes some of the jumps and stunts the racers have to do could be considered "extreme", but its kind of offensive to supercrossers/motocrossers to be lumped in with the newer X-game style sports (this excludes freestyle motocross, which is newer and considered an extreme sport). Motocross and Supercross actually have a long history to themselves. But most people view it as an extreme sport these days because of its RECENT surge in popularity. Its been around since the '60's-70's in the U.S. and longer elsewhere.

I just saw it tonight and it was really good

it's not about what I think. It's about the fact that other people agree with what I think, 'tard...that's why it tanked.

Ok to start off, Napolean Dynamite is 4 million times better than this movie. I am a rider myself and I agree that we needed a movie about our sport but we didn't need it made by the same people as the so after-school-special-esc "motocrossed." Maybe it could have been made by Guy Richie, Wachowski bros., or even Quentin Tarantino, or someone else who wouldn't turn it to crap. Heck even Bam Margera wouldn't butcher the movie. Here are a few problems I had with the movie: Inconsistancy...When Trip and that girl go on a ride she starts out on a KTM 125sx then when she does a back flip (actually kenny bartrum) its a 250sx. I understand not a whole lot of people would notice that but how bout when trip starts off on a CRF 450 then all of a sudden its a CR 250 then back again. BIG PIPE DIFFERENCE. C'mon, don't you realize that motorcycle people are actually watching this movie? Here is another problem: Bad quality...when there are indoor scenes they are all grainy and they looked like they got filmed on the directors brother-in-laws camcorder. They either used expired film or they filmed in low light then over exposed it. Ok I have taken one photo class and I know not to do that. The action stuff looked ok so maybe they only had one type of film. Here is my biggest problem with the film: Jesse James...Where was he? He was originally suppose to play Trip and KC's Dad but his scenes got cut. Yes, they were filmed because he was in old previews. There might have been some sort of a contractual thing but they should have atleast figured that out before they put the previews out so I wouldn't get my hopes up. I know there was a ton cut because the movie was only 1hr and 20min. So there was time, what happened? Im calling for someone who rides or understands what the fans want to see to make a real movie. Yes I want a story, Yes I want celebs from the industry to make cameos, and of course I want hot chicks to costar. Email me if you are a professional writer/director and want to make a movie with me.
