I loved it!

I saw this movie and I loved every minute of it!
Even though I only watched it because of George Eads (who plays Evel Knievel and Nick Stokes on CSI), I'm really glad I saw it. I've heard of Evel Knievel, but before this movie I had no idea who (or even what) he was.
I have this shirt with little cartoons on it, and one of them is dressed up like Evel Knievel and he's jumping over the other cartoons on his motorcycle, but I had no idea until a few days ago.
This movie was totally worth seeing, and now I'm gonna go out and find all the info I can on Evel Knievel!!

It was ok, I don't think it portrayed Evel as such as a jerk as he really is. The production values are better than James Dean (tnt movie) but the story sucks. Too much stereotype and americana.

I liked it too. Even though, I wasn't feeling George Eads as Evel. He should had been played by someone else. I did enjoy Jamie Pressly performance. She did surprising good.

I also feel they didn't tell the story well of the events at Snake River Canyon. I was lucky to see a telecast of the original jump at Snake River and the movie left a whole lot out that should had been told.

Other than that, the movie is a smash. Go see it.

I thought this movie went over the top glorifying what Evel Knieval did. I mean, really.... what of any use did he really do? He jumped over things on a motorcycle. He was a bigger jerk than the movie portrayed. And he had a bizarre notion of what constitutes "manliness". If anything, this movie helps to show what happens when ignorant white trash gets attention and some money.

I don't know where you get off calling EVEL KNIEVEL "ignorant white trash"! This man went out there and did something that we only dream about. Sure he risked his life for money and fame but for a breif moment in time he became one with his machine!!! That's the BEAUTY of what Evel did. He showed us that a person from any walk of life can make it big. Well at least he can spell his name correctly.

Evel Knievel was a classic American hustler. I thought the movie portrayed that really well. And Eads was able to get the hustle side of Evel's personality across. He showed that it takes a lot of pure charm to hustle successfully.
