No bloody clue about Chaos

In the film it is describes as "the study of phenomena that appear random, but in fact have an element of regularity which can be described mathematically. Initial state of events may seem unrelated and random, but eventually a pattern emerges"

Chaos is actually about the unpredictability of complex systems, and though Edward Lorenz was a pioneer in chaos (now complexity) he did not "invent" it..

Edward Lorenz built a meteorological prediction program, which helped him discover that the slightest inaccuracy in any of a great number of factors would eventually grow exponentially and the result would be further and further away from what was expected as time progress.

It is also commonly known as the butterfly effect. A butterfly in Bejing flaps it wings which cause an earthquake to take place in San Francisco... an exaggurated example, but it illustrates very well one thing...

"Try calculating that bitch!"

Stathams recap is at least closer to the truth, but by that point they have confused the issue so massively that it would likely be missed by those who do not know what it is. And they ruin it with adding "a pattern emerges"

(It pissed me off so much I am editing this as i watch the rest of this tragic film)
