This part made no sense
York walks out of the bank and with all of the numerous cops and detectives around not a single one recognizes him? How dumb.

Weren't there like huge explosions, smoke and mayhem going on outside? You don't think York could've hid his face and ducked out through all the crowd?

I think when you said "it's possible"; you answered your own question. It's been a while since I saw the film, but there were 4 huge explosions and pandemonium going on. The SWAT guy even says, "they walked right past us."
Every movie has their leap of faith moments. You either buy this was possible or not. I like the film. It didn't bother me. The filmmakers went out of their way to show us it was "possible" for the bad guys to escape with the explosion distractions. That's enough for me.
Things that bug me in films? Like how Will Smith and Jeff Goldbloom can upload a virus onto an Alien craft via their human Macbook. How it took Robert Downey Jr. appx 1/2 of the film to learn how to use the Iron Man suit, but, with no practice whatsoever Jeff Bridges's char can not only use it but almost defeat Stark.
And the worst... The Rebellion hides Anakin Skywalker's son with his uncle, and keeps the name skywalker but Darth Vader and the Empire were never able to locate him?
