How can we petition to get this released?

I really love this film, it gets me through so many sad moments. is it possible to petition the BBC to release it on DVD as it was a BBC production? They are starting to release programmes from the 60's and 70's so I think they should be able to get their backsides into gear!! we've had enough stupid reality T.V competiton and shows, which have had very few ratings, so i think they should give us what we want, after all we do pay £123 for a licence!!

You don't by any chance have a copyable copy of it do you? I've been trying to get hold of it for years...

I have got good copies of this drama, originally on tape, then converted to DVD

and pretty good resolution.Let me know by email if you want a copy.

I would absolutely love this to get a proper DVD release; it's such a beautiful film, and much as I adore Alun Armstrong, I think his Jim is one of the most wonderful things he's ever done.

I have several copies of this BBC drama. Originally on VHS it was converted to Disc then copied 4/5 times (in case I lost them1)

My copy is of good resolution , considering it came from tape, I don't know how good or bad your copy is but I can copy mine if you are interested.

It's on YouTube anytime you want to watch it. I just saw it for the 1st time, what a beautiful little film.
