I forgot how good this show was
I think I watched nearly every episode when they first aired, and I hadn't seen any episode again until last night - great acting, great characters, good story.
To me its still better than anything on TV right now.

Couldn't agree more. I'm binge-watching right now and Shatner just makes me laugh out loud again and again.
shareWhere are you binge watching? I stuck having to DVR 3 episodes a week.
shareAha! My son's girlfriend gave him the complete set for Christmas! We're up to Kill, Baby, Kill. Is that based on a real case? Unbelievable...
But what a wonderful show. A great segue from The Practice... Denny and Alan's love for each other... Shirley Schmidt... Gerry, Carl... unbelievable characters. Sure, politically biased, but what show isn't?
It's a great show.
Dangit, I'm too cheap to pay for it. I'm concerned that maybe they're not showing all of the episodes as sometimes, networks do.
I can't think of a more honest and open relationship between men who are only friends depicted on tv or in the movies for that matter.
Depending on your public library system, you might be able to borrow it one season at a time for free. That's what my husband and I are doing right now with "The Wire". Good luck! :)
shareThanks! As much as I love to read, I didn't even think of the library. I was a little late to The Wire as well, just watched it two years ago and loved it.

Unfortunately for you there are only 4 more episodes left after Kill Baby Kill
I love this show. I think Denny Crane is just an exaggeration of William Shatner is in real life.
I have 2 sets of twin boys, Pete & Repete and Mark & Remarkable
...is just an exaggeration of William Shatner is in real life.Classic if this is true. Shatner was touring here in Australia late last year. I'd have loved to have caught his show.
It is one of my favorite shows, but I really dislike how political and "preachy" it gets around mid season 3 onwards.
I just finished season 5 this weekend and it was really disappointing how they couldn't go out with a really smooth finish but had to take jabs at the network for cancelling them, and certain political issues that were a bit over the top.
I bought every season except 5, and I won't every pay money for such subpar writing and only half a season...the last season of the Practice is worth more, especially for all the Alan Shore you get in it.
As an ardent Boston Legal lover, I can tell you that everyone of those pot shots at the network were deserved and appreciated back in 2008. The show at the time was under appreciated by ABC. The old regime had brought the show into being, and the new leadership treated it like dirt. They moved it to a new night virtually every year, and sometimes more than once during the year. On one occasion they moved it with so little notice that half the audience took until the second episode to find their show...it was absolutely ridiculous. The network didn't own the show so they were trying their best to kill it inspite of the fact it was one of their few Emmy nominated and winning ventures.
shareI got the show on DVD here recently, and I know I've been enjoying it greatly! When it was originally on, I didn't get to see much of it so continuity was a nightmare. It has been nice to see the DVDs so I can watch the whole show, in order.

The show was amazing when it was on. It's still funny as can be.
If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now.-Loki (Marvel's Avengers)

Agreed. The staunch left wing ness gets semi tiresome but it's still a pretty wonderful show. I loved it when it was originally on but somehow missed s5. Finally watching it starting tomorrow
