I remember back in 90 or 91 watching this and loving the heck out of it! I loved when he would sing songs and a squirrel would come out of the tree and talk to him! I wish it was still on!
Absens Haeres Non Erit --- Out of sight, out of mind
I remember watching this as a kid. Every episode opens with him running through a field & forests, jumping fences, to finally get to this little spot that he has. There were several puppet friends that he had, including a 'packrat' that he could trade shiny things with. Fred also played guitar, and made this a great all-around kid's show. The show has seemed to disappear, and only recently- when I discovered this site- have I been able to find any information on it. Canada seems to come up with great kids' shows all the time...
oh my. i've been looking for the name of this show for literally years. glad to know there are at least two other people that remember how fantastic this was.
Ok. So. I have been searching for years... for a show... and I think this might be it. So. Here is my description from what I remember... so please tell me if this is it?
I can only remember the intro to the show. It was a guy with a backpack and a walking stick walking ... and walking... and he walks past a meadow... and one of those wooden fences that is like a post with two rods in between each post... but the rods are like split wood... anyways... and I think he walks past a waterfall... and past a forest... but... he was hiking... and I think he had a beard... but he had brown hair
Thank you so much!

I was wondering why the frisbee kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.
SO this is the name of that show. I remember watching it back before I even went to Kindergarden class. All I remember were those sock puppets and he loves buying things in the supermarket. I've been lookin for the title of this show for years.
Oh, me and my brother loved this show when we were kids! the only thing I really remember about it was that he had a beard and played guitar and sang in the woods, and sometimes played the mouth harp! I don't remember any puppets. The theme song actually popped into my head, so I decided to look it up to see if anyone else remembered it.
