What kind of dog is she holding in this weeks episode?

What kind of dog what she holding at the video store? He/she sure was cute. It looked like a Chow, but I am not a dog person... he was brownish in color and very fluffy.

It's a pomeranian named Esther. But she is cropped shorter than usual.

It is actually Fran Drescher's dog. she name dit after her dog chester who passed away, she got it after she recovered or right before recovering from cancer. for those of you who know, chester was in The Nanny as well!! But he was owned by cici!!

Actually, I think she said in Cancer Schmancer that she named Esther after her grandma...

Or soemthing like that, I dunno I've only heard Cancer smancher on tape.....The book On Tape thing. I let a friend borrow it after i listened to it once. so My memory might be kinda hazy...LOL..thanks for clearing tha tup!! I thought i remembered something about her nameing it after Chester in memory of him, but It might have been her grandmother! ....goes to find book somewhere!

Yeah in her book it wuz named after her g-ma! I love Ehster and Chester! Everytime on the nanny when he's on i freak out!! I love him in Cadilac Man as well!

it realy is a pomeranian? the one on this weeks episode was small and looked a greyish color. i dont really know much about them really, i just wasnt sure if it was the same dog.

If anybody finds out what kind of dog that was on Friday Jan 20ths episode please let me know. It looked like a little grey bear. I want one!

"The Pomeranian is a tiny, fluffy dog with a wedge-shaped head and pointed erect ears. Some have faces that breeders liken to a fox; others have baby-doll or "pansy" faces. All have bright, dark, almond-shaped eyes with an intelligent expression. The nose is either dark or the color of its coat. The teeth should meet in a scissors bite. Poms also boast a distinctive feathered tail that fans forward over the back. There is an abundant ruff around the neck and chest area. The profuse stand-off double coat usually comes in solid colors. Any solid color is allowed, but the most common are red, orange, white or cream, blue, brown or black. Sometimes the coat is parti-colored (white with colored markings), black & tan, wolf or orange sable."

hehe. I love Poms. They really do look like little Chows.

There IS something weird about Esther though. She doesn't seem as bright or lucid as Chester did. he looked like a smart little pup!

I remember chester from The Nanny because I read Frans book..about the break in and everything that has happened to the poor woman...I read in that book that Chester is Fran's dog and that is why in the show The Nanny he always goes to her right away..
