Oscar worthy?

For anyone who's actually seen this, does this seem like it would be an Oscar worthy docu, or is it just to basic to be nominated?

Or, is it good enough, but doesn't qualify?

In my opinion, yes-although the Oscars don't always reflect what's really the best, so I wouldn't judge any film by them. However, Horn did collect many live moments that are invaluable. Even homemade videos of Nomi rehearsing, or fuzzy concert performances reveal his astounding otherworldly nature. I can't put into words what this movie did to me. I had already known of Nomi and had heard his stuff occasionaly over the years. This did nothing to prepare me for the effect of seeing him live. As one photographer put it, he wasn't only androgenous sexually- he was androgenous as to wether he was human or not. I am not joking. This is why his outer space creation can freak you out so much. As well as astound you with his talent...

I highly doubt that it will get an Oscar nod. That said, it's at least as good as 'Murderball,' which I'm guessing will win. Oscar nomination or not, it's a very good documentary - I had never heard of Klaus Nomi before seeing this and was totally captivated the entire time.
