Nomi ballet

Has anyone seen the ballet called NOMI: a dance event choreographed by Peter Breuer? You can see a clip of the ballet on www.peterbreuer.com(or just type Peter Breuer into google and hit the first link like I did). Go to the video section of the site. I got this info from the Wikepedia article on Klaus Nomi and it cites a opera by Olga Neuwirth and another Opera also as well as the ballet. Anyway, this ballet clip is worth looking at! It opens with Klaus Nomi all dressed up in a baroque uniform( ala the album cover of Encore) and he(actually she) is coming down the stairs lipsyncing to Wayward sisters and followed by a ton of dancers in Baroque garb too! Another clip shows Klaus(two in fact) dancing to Total Eclipse surrounded by David Bowies. The Klaus Nomi role is split between a ballerina for the stage persona and a male dancer for the original Klaus persona. There is a review link for this ballet on the Wikepeida article too. Did anyone see the whole thing or is this little clip all that is available? It looked pretty darn good!

I know--its pretty darn cool! Klaus probably would have liked it! Did you read the review about it...that was so interesting!

To get to the review of the ballet...go to the Wikepdia article and go to the external links section and click on the entry that says "Blog entry detailing Nomi's life and internet resources" ....the blog has a great article with TONS of links and when it discusses the ballet,it gives this link to a review of the ballet.

One thing I didn't understand was the reference to a girl named Lisa who was discussed in the review as his wife in the ballet...LOL! I guess it was a green card type deal or something...never heard her mentioned before on these other sites etc! Maybe she is just a philosophical construct for the ballet...to give a ballerina a role or to express the feminine side of Klaus...who knows! I only know I want to see the whole ballet!
