Malick is The Man, all right, a genius at what he does. As you say, he isn't for everyone. The kiddies with their kiddie tastes and their kiddie understandings might as well stay away. Those who are ready for an immersion in poetry on the screen, you came to the right place.

I both agree and disagree with Lucca. Dis-liking Malick's work doesn't make one intellectually inferior. Malick is an artist. Personally, I love his work ever since I saw "Badlands" and "Days of Heaven". But it isn't for everybody. Some people like Vermeer, some like Picasso. Some like French cuisine, others like Spanish.
