Anyone else notice this huge plot mistake?

when Missie leaves the school house after giving her lucnh to the student without lunch, she rides her horse to a meadow to grab some fruit off a tree for lunch. That's when she meets the young man who is the surveyor and RR line owner's son. They never exchanged names, when the youngster returns Missie's sweater at the school house, they agree to have lunch but again, no names were exchanged. The next week when the boy finds Missie working the ranch, both of them addressed each other by their full names.

Another possible mistake, an anchromism, in Grant's tent that lloked like a luxurious living room, there was a phonograph, placing this in the late 1890s. In the next episode after Missie is married and relocates with her husband to their own ranch, when she takes the books to their Native American neighbors, she states, "the late President Lincoln", which infers Lincoln had died recently or just a few years before, not over 30 years prior as the phonograph of the previous episode indicates...

It was the correct term. Today we would still refer to the late President Lincoln were we using proper forms. Etiquette in the Victorian.era was correct to a fault that way. Dedicated people and even uneducated people used stiff correct manners at all times.
