I'd dislike her. I know a girl exactly like her, and she is so nice, and so sweet, and so kind, that you just can't hate her, because then you feel like a jerk. But she was just so...infuriating.

I think the main reason Erica disliked Alison was because she envied Alison. I mean Alison was Beautiful, had a wealthy and successful mother (despite the fact Alison‘s mother didn‘t really know her daughter existed, that‘s aside the point), smart, kind and about to attend an exclusive all girls school, everything Erica wanted to be. I’m sure we’ve all had that feeling where we have hated someone merely because we envy them, we try our hardest to like them but that envy is always lingering in the back of our mind and we always resent that person for it. So yes, the main reason Erica disliked Alison was because she was everything she wished, aspired and wanted to be.

I liked Alison well enough, felt sorry for her sometimes. Erica, on the other hand was a pain the butt. No criticism to the actress of course, just the character was obnoxious and really got on my nerves.
I would've liked Alison better I think, if Delta hadn't played her so blandly. I like Delta, I think she's a really talented singer, but her acting was pretty weak in this. Alison was so... cardboard.
