Trabulous - terrible therapist!

If Dr. Trabulous does exist and not a figment of Sandie's imagination as others on this message board have posited, then he's a terrible therapist at best and downright evil at worst. I felt great sympathy for Jim Gaffigan's Sandie for enduring the psychological torture of this man. If, however, he WAS a figment, then what a powerful depiction of a descent into shame, self-loathing, and madness. But I'm inclined to think that it was just a really crappy therapist with a legitimate malpractice suit on his hands. I'm just saying. I know it's a movie, but seeing bad therapists on the TV just chaps my hide (I work in mental health).

Well, if Sandie WAS in denial about everything that was happening in his life, then Dr. T did a great job of making him open his eyes. And understanding what kind of s-t you are in is the first step to healing, isn't it?

Sandie says at the end, "I think I'm lost...."
He can't find what he's looking for in life until he realizes he's lost.
