this movie is just like the old jodie foster movie "candleshoe"! anyone else see the similarities? for a remake, it kind of sucked. it's modern, but no dna testing? definitely could have been better.

I didn't see the movie "Candleshoe" so I can't comment there, but you and a reviewer talked about dna testing.

What exactly would that have proved? They've already said that Catherine was adopted.

In the movie the detective mentioned DNA testing, and the dad told him Catherine was adopted. I was wondering the same thing until he said that.

Obviously they couldn't get a match with the parents, but they could have tested something of Katherine's when she was a child. I'm sure her mother would have kept hair brushes and things like that.
