Typical left-wing butchering of a classic

I swear, this thing almost reads like a parody of left-wing revisionism.

It predictably hits all the Cultural Marxist cliches. Of COURSE, Grendel was in the right. Of COURSE, Christianity is mocked and derided. Of COURSE, the film is slathered with ultra-feminist bullsh*t. Basically: it's a standard white-men-bad, minorities-good screed.

It's not like there isn't enough Cultural Marxism in movies anyway. But for pete's sake, if you're going to film a classic, at least give it the dignity of expressing its OWN values, not dumping today's leftist sensibilities onto another time.

Do you find it at all comforting that you and your highly embarassing word salad will be forgotten forever on the wrong side of history? You are not even worth remembering to be mocked.

FYI, the character of Grendel has appeared as a protagonist in fiction for decades.

Of course Christianity was mocked, during the time that the movie is set in and when the poem was written, the Danes, Geats, Svar, and Norse were all heathens. They thought that Christians worshipped a weak and ineffective god. Denmark would not be Christiansted until the mid to late 800's.

Also, during the heathen period, women were equal to men. They could own property, run businesses, and divorce their husbands. In a marriage, the wife controlled the household wealth. If the husband asked for the keys to the chest that held the wealth, it was grounds for divorce.
