love it

Just saw the first few episodes of this on BBC America and hope to get the DVD of it for Christmas. Yeah it definatly is suspiciously similar to Meet the Parents, but the Bristish can just get away with so much more than us, whether or not thats a good thing is debatable but either way I laughed way more during this series than during Meet the Parents. As for an American remake, I say HELL NO.

That's because we Brits make the best comedy in the world! Porridge, Yes Minister, Steptoe & Son, Fawlty Towers, the list is endless . . . :-)

top comedy....I'm a uni student and my house is addicted to this comedy.

Definetly one of the tv highlights for the week.

One of not very many!

It's rather ironic for me - a few years ago, I couldn't buy enough blank video tapes - for quite a variety of things (although mainly Trek). Now, I have bought a lot of these things on DVD - giving me something like 20-30 tapes freed up to re-record on - and there's naff-all worth recording! The TWWOML tape hasn't been out of my VCR for about two months! There's nothing else I bother recording (except if I'm away and will miss something)!

most of it is unrealistic but in my opinion its much better than little Britain on a thursday night. Good acting though still.

Well, it really picked up. The first three episodes in that second series weren't up to the same level, but from thursday onwards, yes, back to the old standard. Plus, the ending was even better than the first series! Although the resolution on the monday was perhaps a little too neat for my liking.

The question now is - what could they do for a third series? I'm not sure it would be possible, at least not without it looking like a remake of the earlier series . . .
