THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SHOW EVER!!!

Well first of all, this is an obvious staged courtroom show. Now I have seen staged courtroom/talkshows before that were well-done. Back in the mid 90's there was a show titled "NIGHT STAND", which was a parody of all the talkshows that were popular at that time (Jenny Jones, Springer, Gordon Elliot...etc). This show had a 3 year run and it was well-casted, well-scripted and well-written from start to finish.

But this show "An Eye For an Eye" is just plain bad in ALL AREAS. First of all the premise is ridiculous...a courtroom show based on revenge, PLEASE! Not only is the writting and the acting bad, but even the technical aspects of the show was horrible. Poor lighting, bad camera angles, horrific audio and an idiotic set design...a ATM in a courtroom, PLEASE!

Now its obvious that this Extreme Akim is no judge, I would imagine that he his either a parallegal or just a bad actor, maybe both. And I am truly starting to understand why the bailiffs on all these courtroom shows have
no or little dialogue, because this bailiff "Big Sugar Ray" has reach a whole new level of DUMB-TIVITY. I truly hope that all of his dialogue was unscripted, because if someone actually wrote that crap...then they need their SAG card revoked.

So you take all of these awful and dreadful elements, package and produce it...and have it all hosted by KATO KAELIN.

GOD BLESS AMERICA.

They should rename the show "AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND AN EAR FOR AN EAR"
Because you have to be blind and deaf to sit through this crap.

This show makes "Homeboys in Outerspace" look like a masterpiece.

Well, to begin with, OF COURSE the show is "staged" in that it's being taped for television. Sometimes they have to stop, back up and re-shoot if a mistake is made. That's true for eveything that's not broadcast live.

The point of the revenge is that (and OFTEN) the desire for JUSTICE isn't about money. It's about feeling that the party that was wrong learns a lesson, and the party who was wronged feels vindicated. As for lighting and camera angles and set, I think it's okay given that they try to keep the cameras out of the courtroom as much as possible, perhaps so as to be not so scary to the litigants.

Akim is fully qualified as a judge, and absolutely knows the law. He is a lawyer and other than when he is taping the show, runs a law firm in South Carolina.

Big Sugar Ray was a professional boxer, and for several years used to be the middleweight boxing champion of the world. He still teaches the sport. I think it's fair to admit that having Mensa-level IQ is not a requirement for professional boxers, but Sugar Ray is genuine and a TRULY NICE guy.

I have the GREATEST respect for BOTH Akim AND Sugar Ray.

I agree the show is terrible. I thought it was a joke at first. I ran a cross it by chance and just couldn't sit through it. I agree that the cameras and lighting is very poor and the whole thing seems low budget.

I think gep2 must have something to do with the show. That's the only explanation for defending this trainwreck of a show.

How could anyone be stupid enough to think ANYTHING about this show is real??? That just blows my mind. This show manages to make pro wrestling look like Masterpiece Theater. Good grief. I'm not sure which is worse: that someone decided this deserved to be put on the air or the people that watch it and actually think it's real.

I have to agree, my husband and I came across the show at three o'clock in the morning and it is awful! It's Jerry Springer court. I just couldn't believe it. I laughed so hard when I saw Kato that I woke the kids up! It was so bad, not only can you tell it is low budget and staged but seriously why does he have to wave the bat around all the time?

People on imdb are ALWAYS good for entertainment. They ALWAYS seem to be 'experts' on movies and TV shows. "Uggh, the lighting is horribe"! "Oh the dialogue is atrocious"! Lol! No matter how low bugdet and stupid an "Eye For An Eye" or "Jerry Springer" or any other low end show is remember this. While you're busy being "magic tree number 4" in the Wizard Of Oz at your local college, these people ALREADY have their foot in the door. Extreme Akim and Big Sugar Ray included! ...it is what it is.
