Favorite match on dvd?

For me it has to be either the Funk match or the 2 out of 3 falls with steamboat.

I went straight to the Royal Rumble as soon as I bought this DVD, so I'll go with that, for the sheer joy of all of those people involved who I hadn't seen in years and while still in their prime.

There's a lot of great matches on DVD. To the one who bought the DVD just for the Royal Rumble, the earlier matches is what wrestling WAS before today. Today they wrestle for 5 minutes and the matches suck. My fav was the Steamboat/Flair, best of 3 falls is the best match of all time.

My favorite is also The 1992 Rumble, Flair put on one of the greatest performances ever in that match. Also I enjoyed the match with Sting, I thought that was a pretty good match.

I've never seen the Flair/Steamboat matches, so I'm deciding I DEFINITELY need this dvd collection, I don't care what it costs. I have the original 1992 Royal Rumble on VHS so I have to stick with that one for now. Well either that or Flair/Savage from WM 8 if that's on this dvd.

This is my signature, nice eh?

For me it's a tie between the two Steamboat matches and the Barry Windham match. All excellent ***** matches.

My favorite match you ask? It's quite difficult to choose 1 particular Flair match as your favorite because everything he did is extraordinary. But if I could choose a particular matchup, it would have to be the 2 out of 3 fall matchup from the Clash with Steamboat. Ric at this point was the determined and hungry challenger, so he was at the top of his game. Ric, and Ricky worked so well together, and this match in particular was a masterpiece which defined the wrestling industry in the late 80's. When you get two styles that gel as well as these two a great match is expected, and usually delivers. I also enjoyed the matchup with Barry Windham, and I actually did see this on NWA television on Saturdays when wrestling on Saturday was a norm in most sports fan's households. Finally I enjoyed as always the Starrcade 83 bout with Harley Race. Ric credited Harley as his toughest ever opponent. What I really was intrigued by, was the full entrance of Ric Flair, and it brought back memories and raised goose pimples. I found some of the fetures informative including the discussion regarding the 1975 plane crash, and Tully's take on the Horsemen era. Stuff like this will not be seen again on television , so having it here makes the set a collectable treasure.

I was very happy with every match on there. I was very glad that the two out of three falls match with Ricky Steamboat was included, as it is by far the greatest match of all time, in my opinion. I remember watching that match live on television at the Clash Of The Champions when it actually happened, and that kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Their Wrestle War '89 rematch was very good, but I could never understand how anyone can put that match over their Clash match. The Wrestle War match was even voted Match Of The Year. I couldn't believe that. Also, I liked the Barry Windham match, but I thought their Crockett Cup '87 match was better. It's too bad that the match with Sting that went to a 45 minute time limit draw wasn't on there, other than the last couple of minutes of that match. Personally, I thought his best match with Sting was actually at the Great American Bash '90, when Sting won the title. I was also very happy with all the extras. I think sometime in the future they should put out a DVD just on Ric Flair's story, like they've done with other wrestlers.

Now that would be a great story to tell. A Ric Flair DVD with a documentary paying tribute to the life and career of Ric. He is retiring next year, so I think that's when they'll go ahead with a DVD of that nature.
