At the end of the movie, Tamara sees that Chloe was an innocent bystander in the prank that killed her. Therefore, she couldn't control her mind with her fears or anything. However, didn't the nerdy guy not know what was going on either, or did he? Unless I'm remembering wrong, why did she kill him and not Chloe?

Maybe she wanted to show the people that killed her that she's not-so-innocent anymore.
He still wasn't completely innocent because he wouldn't go to the police. He was crying about his scholarship. Chloe was blackmailed by the others into staying quiet.
shareIt's the stupid Final Girl cliche; they just tried to ass-pull it in this movie with some excuse and yeah you and a lot of us others spotted the huge plot hole in that.
