The Most Boring, Unfunny Thing I've Ever Seen

My friend made me watch this because he said it was the funniest thing ever. So I watched... and I watched... and I was still waiting for something to be funny. Red vs. Blue is boring! And it's not that I don't "get it." There's nothing to get! Never again. Now, fanboys, commence the attacking!

Well, saying it "isn't funny" goes hand in hand with "not getting it"

I hate Justin Bieber, I'll never be a fan, I "don't get" how someone could like his music...but he still has millions of young female fans.

So yeah...you don't get it. It wouldn't be on Season 10 if it weren't successful.

Beyond THAT, I tune in to the shot a lot less for the comedy these days than I do the story...which has become more and more engaging because I like the characters so much...because they were funny and endearing from the start.

A well thought out and civil response from Chris who is clearly a fan. Kinda makes the O.P. look like a jerk seeing as how he "knew" we'd come out and attack him for his opinion.

This is IMDB. I was right in that assumption, was I not?

Successful and good are two different things. Jersey Shore had 6 whole seasons and has now given birth to the awful spin-off Snooki and Jwoww. One was more than enough.

The Twilight films were successful. Does that mean they're good? (They're not.)

While I can understand the justin beiber, jersey shore, and twilight stuff. Maybe its just not your style of humor. Could you give examples of comedy series that does it right? I'd be interested to see what you'd bring to the table. Personally I love this series, the characters, the story, its all very well done IMO.

The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Seinfeld were successful. I find them ridiculous and dull. They're not my kind of humor.

But RvB has an intense storyline that spans twelve years (so far). My bf doesn't like the show, either, but I'm pretty sure it's because the jokes all go too fast for him and if you miss one thing, then you risk losing the storyline.

Each character is unique and has a different gimmick that makes each of them not only funny, but also pretty badass. I'd hate to come against the reds as a team when they're all contributing, especially after watching season 8.

I don't normally watch comedies. I don't usually enjoy them, so I have to be picky. But RvB has my kind of wry humor, and the way everything twists back on itself is pretty damn impressive. The action is incredible, especially once you get into season 8 and they start using animation--not actual gameplay, but some of the coolest action sequences I've ever seen, usually paired with a quippy remark. All of the characters are terrible at what they do (except Tucker)(although the others have their strengths), which makes you wonder why they're even there, just as the first line in the show asks...and then you discover why and it changes everything.

I'm really just saying things that I've enjoyed over the past twelve seasons...I never get to talk about this show except to my brother. It's not just a generation thing, either. My dad is an engineer and a coworker of his noticed a quote I'd posted on my MySpace (Yes, that's how far back RvB and I go)...and he allegedly spent the rest of the day belly-laughing in his cubicle. Basically, I've seen a pattern in the people who like this show. Only the cleverest of my friends watch it. Not to say anything against you or my boyfriend. It's not only a wry kind of humor, but also one that, at times, requires you to think past the surface of the words or situations, which is pretty much the only kind of humor worth watching. Even Caboose's lines are more clever than most of the comedies that come out of Hollywood, and they're brilliantly delivered, as well.

Plus, being able to relate to the characters is important. Maybe you just don't relate to them. I do.

This went on longer than I expected.

Also, fanboys? Really? Sigh. I'll forgive you for that. Mainly 'cause I don't care.

This says it all.

True, but this show has won awards. Doesn’t mean you can’t dislike it, but at least some people in the “intellectual elite” (you know, of things like this, not like physics and stuff) think it’s worthwhile.

It doesn't. Justin Beibers music IS terrible, but I "get" that he sells a lot of records because he makes teenage girls vaginas moist. RvB IS boring, but I "get" that people with a bland sense of humor can identify with a comparatively bland show.

I agree. I *beep* love Roosterteeth. But Red Vs. Blue is just boring. I don't understand the appeal at all.

Clearly you give too much damn.

I'm very picky about what I watch. Life's too short. So no, I don't "watch anything."

In my experience, there's no such thing as "the average person"...but if it does exist, you probably fall within its boundaries. Ever think you're the one with the problem?

...also, "sheep" is pretty much the wrong word, simply because we discovered this thing, this...not-very-well-known thing...and liked it, whereas "sheep" are usually the ones who follow the things that are spoon-fed to them.

Careful. You're in danger of becoming a hipster. You may already be over the edge. Sigh, we've lost another average person to hipsterdom.

I'll prepare a flower arrangement for the memorial.
