Visually Stunning

This film is incredibly visually stunning - OK, it's all CGI, but it's amazing.

There is quite a bit of CG in this movie, but only to compliment what was filmed, so it's meant to be seamless. The astronauts were filmed on set (meaning there was some moon set they were walking on). The rest of the moon including their reflections in their visors are CG. There's also CG dust hits too. Oh, the bubbles under their visors are also CG too. All in all, the CG works really well, complimenting the movie.

Can't wait to see it!!!!

Okay, I went and I did get to see the third screening. It was visually impressive, of course, but awfully short. I would hate to have spent that much money on a movie that's only about 45 minutes.

And yes, though I did not speak to Tom Hanks (as is my firm's policy), I was charged with creating a space (or force feild, if you will) between he and his well-to-do attackers. Also, I did get a good cell phone photo of Buzz Aldrin's photo of himself with Tom Hanks.

The movie is too short. That's my only complaint.

it's actually short for a reason. an imax platter is limited to about 50 minutes. When you see a feature that is converted to imax, like spiderman 2, which everybody should see, it's limited to 2 platters because of the weight (650 lbs a platter). Now, a stereo show like mag des has one platter per eye. That's why there are already two platters there, and they are being used. Someday when digital projectors can handle imax size, we'll have longer stereo 3d shows, but for now, that's the limitation. i wish it was longer too though, it's great fun.

Newsflash from 2008! There are 60, 90, 120 and even 150 min platters nowadays, so the length is no longer a problem.
