Damn what a great movie, wouldn't you agree ?

Not much to add, but I guess that's a good thing when you see a great movie like this one. Selleck did an outstanding job and the rest of the cast did a fine job as well.

Sadly I'm not sure this movie will be avaible to evryone/public or hell even if a youth will pick it up. But still it's a good movie and despite a few "misstakes" that are quite negligebe Selleck gave a true/honest portrait of Ike during D-Day..

It really is just a great movie. It's not a war movie, but it really gives a realistic insight into the pressures of war and the responsibility with which the commanders had to contend. I can't imagine being in Ike's shoes, especially after seeing this movie.

I agree that this is a very well done movie. "Great" may be a little over the top, but certainly it warrants more attention than has ever been given it. yes, Selleck took some getting used to as Ike, but the many famous scenes (like sending the guy back home for talking to much) gave you a real insight into Ike, and I think Selleck did an excellent job portraying Ike.
