The Awesome Responsibility of Command

I've watched this film a few times and I'd suggest that this presentation of Eisenhower as Supreme Commabder is probably the best hands down in showing the heavy hand of responsibility that befalls one in command, i.e. 'Supreme' Command. From the looks of it, 'Ike' was the right man for the job, i.e he had the best qualities that would give the Allies the best chance to win the war. All in all, I know Monty wanted the job badly but all I can say is, 'can you imagine?'.

Rather interesting to watch, given what's going in DC and the Middle East as I watch.

Yes it was a good movie and as for Eisenhower, yes he was the right man. He deserves lots of credit for keeping a coalition together inspite of some such as Patton, Montgomery, and De Gaulle.
