Final scene...
In the very final scene when Ike is smoking a cigarette in his command room, why is the room completely destroyed? Symbolism of the destruction of war? Curious.Thoughts?
shareI took it to mean the present day. The war was won and the command center was ravaged by time. Ike speaking there was artistic license. IMHO.
