Stars and Stripes displayed backwards?

As General Eisenhower addresses the King and Queen at the briefing we see the American flag hung on the wall. The blue field with white stars is shown on the right. Was it displayed differently in 1944? As I understand it, today the blue field is correctly shown on the left.
